How to Apply as a Mature Student
Applications are made through the CAO (Central Applications Office) - www.cao.ie
Applications for entry in September 2010 will open on the 1st of November 2009 and close on the 1st of February 2010. When applying, mature students should complete pages 1 and 2 of the form, and indicate that they are a “Special Category” applicant. They should then complete pages 3 and 4.
Mature applicants who have a Leaving Cert., or equivalent overseas school-leaving qualification, can use the points achieved to compete for a place with current school-leavers. You must inform the CAO of any such qualification.
