About the Course
The aim of this programme is to produce technically competent graduates to work in production, quality assurance or validation roles. Those that complete the course will also possess knowledge of regulatory affairs, documentation, and processing technologies for both oral dosage and aseptic finished pharmaceuticals as well as fine chemicals.
This programme will run over four semesters, part-time. Candidates must take all modules on offer in each semester. (This programme will run subject to having a sufficient number of eligible candidates.) This course will be delivered to facilitate shift work practice in industry. Students will be required to complete a four-day practical session in the Institute laboratories.

Entry Level
If under 23 years applicants must have a grade D3 in a minimum of five subjects in the Leaving Certificate examinations, (this must include Maths and English/Irish) or a FETAC Level 5 qualification or equivalent. Mature students (over 23 years) may be exempted from this requirement and are eligible to apply. All applicants must have competence in spoken and written English. The programme is aimed at those who want to re-skill to build a future career in the pharmaceutical sector. Also, students who have completed this award can go on to complete a second minor award, ‘Industry Practices’ (six months part-time), and qualify for a Higher Certificate in Science.Graduate Profiles

€3250 per academic year (2 years) (inclusive of ITT Dublin registration fee and examination fee). If completing individual modules/ groups of modules the individual module fee is €450 plus the ITT Dublin registration fee of €30 and an examination fee of €15 per module examination (up to a maximum of €70 per academic year).
However, as this course is supported by the HEA under the MAP initiative (Please see page 114 of the part-time prospectus for further details). Students may be eligible for a fee subsidy. The fee (per academic year) for students eligible for this subsidy is €650/year.
