Introducing primary/p.primary students to the World of Engineering - Feb 8/13th

An exciting range of events lies ahead next week for primary and post primary students.
 
To mark Engineers Week from February Monday 8th-Saturday 13th, the School of Engineering along with Engineers Ireland and South Dublin County Council is hosting activities to introduce primary and post primary students to the World of Engineering.
 
Already 240 students have signed up to activities during the week with another 340 for the main Magnetic Electric Show in IT Tallaght on Friday 12th February.
 
Due to the unprecedented large numbers of primary and post primary students already signed up to the events, the activities will be hosted off-campus in the Red Rua centre (beside Tallaght Civic Theatre). Along with an opportunity to win a family ticket to the Space Expo in the Netherlands, the following are a sample of the exciting range of activities on offer;
• Programming Traffic Lights with Tour of Traffic Control Centre
• KNEX workshops
• SNAP workshops
• Robotics Evening
• Wind Workshops
The Magnetic Electric Show will be hosted in Room 029 on Friday 12th February.
